{"id":554855,"date":"2025-11-07T09:55:18","date_gmt":"2025-11-07T09:55:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/554855\/"},"modified":"2025-11-07T09:55:18","modified_gmt":"2025-11-07T09:55:18","slug":"nineteen-charged-over-birmingham-fireworks-attacks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/554855\/","title":{"rendered":"Nineteen charged over Birmingham fireworks attacks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\"><b class=\"ssrcss-1xjjfut-BoldText e5tfeyi3\">Nineteen people have been charged after police and members of the public were attacked with fireworks in Birmingham on Wednesday.<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The accused, aged between 14 and 25, face charges that include public order offences and assaulting police. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The West Midlands force said a Section 60 order in place on Bonfire Night had given officers extra powers to stop and search people.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Arrests were made in the city centre&#8217;s Dale End area and Staniforth Street and no-one was seriously hurt in the disorder, according to police.
