Here\u2019s some slightly intimidating news: you\u2019ve only got seven weekends left before Christmas. That might sound like a lot, but we all know it\u2019ll come around sooner than you think. Now\u2019s the perfect time to start thinking about what you\u2019ll have for your Christmas dinner, and how you can stock up on pigs in blankets without breaking the bank.<\/p>\n

Luckily, there\u2019s good news for Londoners on the hunt for some budget-friendly groceries: two new Aldi stores will arrive in the capital by mid-December. It\u2019s part of a huge investment from the company, which announced earlier this year that it would be opening one new store a week until the end of 2025<\/a>, and we now know exactly where they\u2019re going to be \u2013 discover the full list of upcoming UK locations here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sixteen Aldis will open across the UK between today (November 7) and December 12, with two set\u00a0for London. One new branch \u2013 Fulham Broadway \u2013 launched back in September, so these will be the second and third openings in the capital in the span of four months. That\u2019s a pretty impressive ratio.<\/p>\n

Old Kent Road<\/strong>, the Southwark road and cheapest property in Monopoly,\u00a0Kentish Town<\/strong>\u00a0and Uxbridge\u00a0<\/strong>will be the locations of the new stores. We don\u2019t have exact dates for when they\u2019ll open yet, but they will definitely be up and running in time to do your Christmas groceries. Once they are in business, there will be an impressive 52 branches of the low-cost supermarket in the Big Smoke.<\/p>\n

And more could be coming in 2026, as the company has plans to continue growing in the new year. It hopes to spend upwards of \u00a31.6 billion into brand new stores by the end of 2027.<\/p>\n

A representative for Aldi said that its rapid expansion was reflective of \u2018the pace and ambition behind our growth plans\u2019, adding; \u2018at Aldi, we\u2019re focused on making affordable, high-quality food accessible to as many people as possible – and opening new stores is at the heart of how we do that.\u2019<\/p>\n
