Newcastle United star Anthony Gordon has been ruled out of the clash at Brentford this weekend – and the club have vowed to work closely with England about his involvement for games against Serbia and Albania.<\/p>\n

The Three Lions have already qualified for the World Cup next summer <\/a>with Gordon a key part of Thomas Tuchel’s squad. However, he would be gutted to miss out on two caps to add to his tally.<\/p>\n

Gordon <\/a>went off five minutes before the break against Bilbao with many fearing a recurrence of the hip injury suffered for England back in March at Wembley against Albania.<\/p>\n

Howe, speaking at his Press conference ahead of the clash with Brentford, said: “We don’t think it is serious. We will get him scanned and see the results.<\/p>\n

“Good chance he misses out on Sunday but we will see how he is today.<\/p>\n

“I am relaxed about that it will be all done with England’s blessing and we will work together.”<\/p>\n

Touching on Yoane Wissa’s<\/a> progress as he plots his return from a long-term knee injury, Howe said: “Yoane is working well, he is on the grass and building his fitness. It is looking at his fitness and sharpness. “<\/p>\n
