HERE<\/a><\/p>\nIn an update issued this afternoon (Friday, November 7), GMP confirmed the club’s licence had been suspended by a Manchester council committee, pending a further review.<\/p>\n
A GMP spokesperson said: “On Tuesday, GMP attended a licensing summary review hearing for Nowhere Club on Burstock Street.<\/p>\n
“On Friday, October 31, there was an incident inside, where two customers were seriously injured.<\/p>\n

“The licensing committee decided to suspend the licence pending a hearing later this month.”<\/p>\n
Speaking to the M.E.N. last weekend, a witness said the Halloween event at Nowhere was shut down 30 minutes after it had begun, following the incident.<\/p>\n
He said: “Music was playing and everyone was having a good time and to the left of the club a couple [of] guys started to push each other and then it looked like they were punching but they actually were holding knives.<\/p>\n
“I only realised when we saw the amount of blood on the floor.<\/p>\n
“Two groups of boys ran outside, and we didn\u2019t see the rest.”<\/p>\n
The partygoer said organisers initially told attendees that there were ‘technical problems’, before ending the event altogether.<\/p>\n
“Then said sorry but we\u2019re cancelling the show,” he added.<\/p>\n
“A lot of people didn\u2019t see what happened and didn\u2019t notice. As we were exiting a lot of police and ambulances turned up.”<\/p>\n
