A man living in an asylum hotel has denied sexually assaulting a woman.<\/p>\n

Tadi Alemeyeha, 23, is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in August.<\/p>\n

He appeared at Manchester Crown Court on Friday (November 7) to deny the single charge.<\/p>\n

Mr Alemeyeha, who had lived at the Britannia Country House Hotel in Didsbury, south Manchester, is understood to be seeking asylum in the UK.<\/p>\n

He is set to go on trial in February. A further pre-trial hearing was scheduled for December.<\/p>\n

He appeared in court via video link for today\u2019s plea hearing.<\/p>\n

Judge Tom Gilbart told the defendant: \u201cYou have pleaded not guilty in relation to this matter, so there is going to be a trial.<\/p>\n

“That trial is going to take place on February 2 next year.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt that trial you have the right to give evidence if you choose to do so.<\/p>\n

“You are currently remanded in custody. You will remain remanded in custody.\u201d<\/p>\n
