\n While Bury ended their winless run with an impressive 2-0 victory against Kidsgrove Athletic on Saturday, Bootle will be smarting from their heavy defeat they suffered at Chasetown.\n<\/p>\n
\n McNabb, who left the Merseyside club to take over at Bury just over two years ago, is looking forward to being reunited with some \u2018really good people\u2019, but knows his side are in for a tough challenge.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cI\u2019m excited, I\u2019m looking forward to it and looking forward to going back and meeting some really good people,\u201d he told the club website.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cIt\u2019s an unbelievable club, the work that they do in the community and everything else.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cI think it\u2019s a really special club.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cWe could have done without them getting beat in the manner they did (against Chasetown) because I\u2019m pretty sure they\u2019re going to be even more up for it to go and get three points on the board.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cWe\u2019ll assess where we\u2019re up to, we know how tough a game it will be, we\u2019ve been and watched them so we\u2019ll assess that and plan and prep as we normally do.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
\n Having gone three games without a win – back-to-back defeats to Sporting Khalsa and Mossley before drawing with Vauxhall Motors – McNabb was pleased to get back to wining ways thanks to second half goals from Tyler James and Kai Evans.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cI was pleased overall,\u201d said McNabb. \u201cObviously we\u2019ve been in a bit of a bad run in terms of performances and particularly results, but I thought we controlled the game throughout.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cThe tempo and intensity was too slow first half but second half we picked it up and went up a gear or two and the pressure told straight away.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cI thought Kidsgrove did really well defensively, I thought they dug in deep, clearly came with a game plan, executed it really well first half.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cBut then we just switched it up a little bit second half and you could see the difference it made.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cAll of a sudden we\u2019re breaking lines, we\u2019re getting on the half turn, we\u2019re driving forward, creating chances.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cWe got that breakthrough and as soon as we got the first one, it looked like it was going to go on to two.
