Dan Trachtenberg’s Predator: Badlands has just hit theaters, but if you only watch the film, you’re only getting part of the story. That’s because Marvel is set to release Predator: Badlands #1, the official prequel that reveals more about the past of Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi’s young Yautja hunter Dek. <\/p>\n

Predator: Badlands #1 is written by Ethan Sacks (Star Wars: Bounty Hunters) and drawn by Elvin Ching (The Woodsman), with a main cover by Juan Ferreyra and a variant cover by CAFU. Trachtenberg consulted on the book’s storyline to make sure it aligns with the plot of the film.<\/p>\n

“Our story directly ties into Dek’s journey in the film, and I approached it in a similar way to how I approached Old Man Hawkeye, the prequel to Old Man Logan,” Sacks tells IGN. “I wanted the story to feel like a unique and interesting puzzle piece that could slide right in and connect seamlessly with the beloved original.”<\/p>\n
