\n\tLux Pascal is gushing over her older brother and his Hollywood domination.<\/p>\n
\n\tPascal, whose acting credits include Chilean dramas Veintea\u00f1ero a los 40 and Juana Brava, is the younger sister of Pedro Pascal<\/a> and caught up with The Hollywood Reporter on the red carpet of Madrid\u2019s Platino Awards Sunday night, Ibero-America\u2019s annual film and television awards ceremony.<\/p>\n \n\tIt turns out, the younger Pascal sibling tells THR, that the Fantastic Four<\/a> and The Last of Us<\/a> star is truly just as brilliant as fans think he is. \u201cI\u2019m incredibly proud,\u201d Lux said. \u201cBut the thing is that I\u2019ve always known that he is a superstar. It\u2019s funny because people have been asking me, \u2018Is he as kind as we think he is?\u2019 And I\u2019m like, \u2018Yes!’\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tPedro Pascal recently made headlines for calling Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling a \u201cheinous loser\u201d<\/a> for her support of the U.K.\u2019s legal dial-back on what defines a woman. Last week, Britain\u2019s Supreme Court made a\u00a0landmark ruling<\/a> that trans women should not be recognized as women and that \u201csex\u201d should legally mean biological sex. Lux, who grew up alongside her brother and two more siblings in Chile<\/a> before moving to the U.S., came out as a transgender woman in 2021.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cWhat makes him so fabulous is that [Pedro] wears all of his humanity on his sleeve, and he doesn\u2019t hide who he is. And I think that\u2019s refreshing, because usually we move around the world hiding who we are. That\u2019s the main lesson I\u2019ve gotten from him: there\u2019s no reason for me to hide who I am, right? And I think people are seeing that.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tAmid a tumultuous time for the trans community and increasingly tense political climate in the States, the younger Pascal sibling said she is trying to \u201cwait it out\u201d.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cMaybe it\u2019s not a good idea, but I\u2019m focusing in my work. I\u2019m doing stuff, and I want to keep my focus in that, and hopefully the storm will cease. But I\u2019m grateful, and I\u2019m extremely privileged, and I think that continuing that route will help other people think with more ease. It is a difficult time, and I wish it wasn\u2019t as difficult. I mean, we just went through a pandemic. Can we all just chill for a while and show empathy towards one another? I don\u2019t know, maybe I\u2019m too much of a romantic.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tThe younger Pascal sibling also teased her introduction into the U.S. film and television industry. \u201cI have two projects coming out, and I filmed one\u2026 I can\u2019t really give details of what\u2019s coming up.
