\n The programme, called Dance Together, is led by Melt Arts CIC and will officially launch on Saturday, January 18, at the organisation\u2019s base at 32-34 Conway Street.\n<\/p>\n
\n Running from 10.15am to 4.15pm, the event is open to people of all ages and abilities and will feature a day of movement, connection, and creative expression.\n<\/p>\n
\n Karl Newsam, director of Melt Arts CIC, said: “We believe dance is for everyone \u2013 no matter age, background or ability \u2013 and with Dance Together we\u2019re creating a space where the Birkenhead community can move, connect and shine together.\n<\/p>\n
\n “We\u2019re excited to welcome everyone for an inspiring day of movement and friendship.”\n<\/p>\n
\n The launch event will include a full schedule of movement workshops, community dance sessions, and performance opportunities led by experienced practitioners from Melt Arts CIC.\n<\/p>\n
\n The day aims to promote confidence, wellbeing, and community through the power of dance and movement.\n<\/p>\n
\n Melt Arts CIC is a Black-led company based in the Liverpool City Region and has received support from Kindred LCR, a social investment and support fund, as well as the BlaST Network.\n<\/p>\n
\n The organisation has also engaged with Joanne Anderson, former Mayor of Liverpool, through Kindred\u2019s programmes.\n<\/p>\n
\n The company recently gained validation to offer full-time vocational training in dance and musical theatre at Level 3, with auditions set to begin in January 2026.\n<\/p>\n
\n It has delivered programmes across Liverpool, Cumbria, Knowsley, and North Wales, and has been active in the region for eight years.\n<\/p>\n
\n One parent who attended a previous programme praised the organisation\u2019s impact.\n<\/p>\n
\n Darren Foote said: “MELT Elavate programmes have been amazing for our daughter, the whole team are friendly and patient teachers to the kids.\n<\/p>\n
\n “Our daughter has had so much fun and learnt so much taking this class, her confidence has grown, and she can\u2019t wait for class to start again in September.\n<\/p>\n
