{"id":556780,"date":"2025-11-08T07:20:47","date_gmt":"2025-11-08T07:20:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/556780\/"},"modified":"2025-11-08T07:20:47","modified_gmt":"2025-11-08T07:20:47","slug":"ardie-savea-concedes-all-blacks-camp-on-edge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/556780\/","title":{"rendered":"Ardie Savea concedes All Blacks camp &#8216;on edge&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Ardie Savea says <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rugbypass.com\/teams\/new-zealand\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New Zealand<\/a> will be driven by a desire to preserve their proud unbeaten record against <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rugbypass.com\/teams\/scotland\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Scotland<\/a> at Murrayfield on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rugbypass.com\/teams\/new-zealand\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">All Blacks<\/a> have never lost to the Scots in 32 meetings over the past 120 years, a scenario the captain believes will sharpen the minds of the visitors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou don\u2019t want to be the first team (to lose to Scotland), so that puts us on edge a bit,\u201d said back-rower Savea.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe also understand Scotland\u2019s mindset as well and how much it will mean to them tomorrow. It builds appropriate fear and we don\u2019t want that to happen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve prepared well, done what we can do through the week, now it\u2019s just about turning up and playing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>      <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/1762586442_957_814.png.webp\"\/> <\/p>\n<p> Scotland <\/p>\n<p>    <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/1762586447_220_811.png.webp\"\/> <\/p>\n<p> New Zealand <\/p>\n<p>    <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rugbypass.com\/live\/new-zealand-vs-scotland\/?g=946468\/\" class=\"link-box\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">   <\/p>\n<p>Savea played in the last meeting between the teams when the All Blacks had to come from 23-14 behind after an hour before winning 31-23 in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s an amazing place to play,\u201d he said of Murrayfield. \u201cScotland are a quality side. The last three games we\u2019ve played it\u2019s been within eight points.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s no easy feat (to beat them), so we understand the challenge ahead and we\u2019re really excited to come here and play.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019ve got some world-class players in their team, so that poses a threat.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve just got to turn up and nail our game.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Savea is wary of the threat posed by Scotland talisman Finn Russell.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t know if there\u2019s a way (to stop him),\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s the beauty of a world-class player like Finn, he\u2019s unpredictable. He does things no other players can do and I don\u2019t think we can prepare.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve just got to nail our stuff in what we do and just try and shut his time down.
