Georgia Tennant has reached out to the police after revealing she\u2019s been targeted with a string of threats to her life.<\/p>\n
The 40-year-old actress is best known for playing Detective Inspector Samantha Nixon\u2019s daughter Abigail in The Bill, Jenny in the Doctor Who<\/a> episode The Doctor\u2019s Daughter and Lady Vivian in the show Merlin.<\/p>\n She\u2019s also been married to Doctor Who star David Tennant since 2011<\/a>, with the couple first meeting on the set of the long-running BBC<\/a> series.<\/p>\n Over the years the pair have also been vocal supporters for the LGBTQ+ community<\/a> \u2013 specifically trans people.<\/p>\n However, their advocacy has also seen them come under fire at times<\/a>, with the actress now detailing some of the horrific messages she\u2019s been sent by trolls on social media<\/a>.<\/p>\n Posting screenshots of messages on her Instagram<\/a> page, Georgia was told to \u2018go back to the street where you belong\u2019, and \u2018go die\u2019.<\/p>\n \t\t \t\t While she didn\u2019t share any additional comment about the vile messages, she did tag the official Instagram account and the Metropolitan Police.<\/p>\n In September Georgia also called for Facebook<\/a> and its boss Mark Zuckerberg to take action after she was sent a post that read: \u2018Whoever kills Georgia Tennant immediately will receive a reward from me.\u2019<\/p>\n Posting a statement, she wrote: \u2018Just been sent this by a friend. Out of curiosity, Facebook, what would constitute a breach of community standards?\u2019<\/p>\n She then shared a screenshot of a moderator\u2019s response, who ruled that it did not need breach the platform\u2019s rules, so didn\u2019t need to be taken down.<\/p>\n The same account had also previously written chilling comments including, \u2018Soon there will be an obituary to read of a certain person\u2019, and Georgia Tennant must be killed\u2019.<\/p>\n The user then went on to write: \u2018David Tennant and I are meant for each other, we both belong together, and I will do everything to make David Tennant and I together.\u2019<\/p>\n David and Georgia share five children, including Wilfred, who identifies as nonbinary and uses they\/them pronouns.<\/p>\n \t\t While they haven\u2019t publicly spoken about having a nonbinary child, the couple use they\/them pronouns when referring to their middle child.<\/p>\n They have both regularly showed their support for the community both online and on red carpets too.<\/p>\n Georgia has shared photos of the whole family wearing rainbow colours for Pride<\/a>.
