\n Stonewater, a social housing provider, has completed the upgrades at its Herald Court retirement living scheme in Dudley.\n<\/p>\n
\n The scheme, which opened in 1986, provides 34 one-bedroom flats for people over the age of 55.\n<\/p>\n
\n The work, which was carried out by property maintenance company CLC, included creating a games room and library, and relocating and extending the customer lounge and office.\n<\/p>\n
\n Fire doors were installed, and a new warden call system was also put in place.\n<\/p>\n
\n A 50-inch television was also donated by CLC.\n<\/p>\n
\n The changes “These changes have enriched the wellbeing of customers living at Herald Court and has encouraged stronger relationships between customers and colleagues,” according to Stonewater.\n<\/p>\n
\n Residents have said the changes have made a difference.\n<\/p>\n
\n Carol, who lives at the scheme, said: “It\u2019s like a five-star hotel now.\n<\/p>\n
\n “My granddaughter came to visit and said how beautiful and lovely the space is now.”\n<\/p>\n
\n Another resident, Alexander, said: “The work is so marvellous and wonderful.\n<\/p>\n
\n “Now we have beautiful homes to live in and I\u2019m very proud to live here.”\n<\/p>\n
