Birmingham City will assess Paik Seung-ho<\/a> in the coming days after the midfielder dislocated his shoulder in their defeat to Middlesbrough.<\/p>\n Paik was an early casualty at the Riverside in a game where goals from Boro pair Dael Fry and Hayden Hackney ensured Demarai Gray\u2019s third of the season counted for nothing.<\/a><\/p>\n The South Korea international challenged for a header inside the first minute near the left touchline before landing awkwardly.<\/p>\n Paik, who arrived at the Riverside having scored in his previous two games, received lengthy treatment on the field before being replaced by Marc Leonard in the fifth minute.<\/a><\/p>\n Asked whether Paik\u2019s shoulder popped out on the field, Blues boss Chris Davies<\/a> replied: \u201cI believe so.\u201d<\/p>\n He added: \u201cWe don\u2019t know exactly (the extent), he\u2019s obviously landed on his shoulder and looked to be in a lot of discomfort which is not nice.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s a massive player for us and hasn\u2019t been injured much at all, to see him down like that was really unpleasant.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ll see in the next few hours or days what the extent of that injury is.\u201d<\/p>\n Paik now looks set to miss out on another international cap when South Korea play Bolivia next week.<\/p>\n The 28-year-old has been a regular in South Korea\u2019s squads over the past 12 months and will hope that his injury doesn\u2019t result in a lay-off.<\/p>\n Blues were disrupted by Paik\u2019s early injury but recovered to hold their own against one of the Championship\u2019s leading teams.<\/p>\n Blues created the better chances after half-time with Jay Stansfield, Patrick Roberts and Tomoki Iwata all guilty of failing to beat home goalkeeper Sol Brynn.<\/p>\n Reflecting on a fifth away defeat of the season, Davies said: \u201cLooking at it overall I think we did deserve something from the match, we just couldn’t quite get the last touch or the last finish but we created enough.<\/p>\n \u201cWe had enough possession and more territory, everything that you want in a game and we work towards.
