{"id":558008,"date":"2025-11-08T21:16:14","date_gmt":"2025-11-08T21:16:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/558008\/"},"modified":"2025-11-08T21:16:14","modified_gmt":"2025-11-08T21:16:14","slug":"scotland-officially-call-up-manchester-united-duo-including-midfielder-to-face-own-brother","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/558008\/","title":{"rendered":"Scotland officially call up Manchester United duo including midfielder to face own brother"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>                            <img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1200\" height=\"761\" data-class=\"LazyLoad\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/1046686969.webp.webp\" class=\"attachment-post-thumbnail size-post-thumbnail wp-post-image\" alt=\"\" decoding=\"async\"\/>                    <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n                Image Credits: Imago Images            <\/p>\n<p>Scotland are one of the national teams around the world aiming for success in international competition this season.<\/p>\n<p>The national team, who former Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay plays for, currently sit second in their FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifying group with Denmark above the team on goal difference.<\/p>\n<p>But, with fixtures against Greece and Denmark upcoming, their fate is \u2013 arguably \u2013 in their own hands going into the qualification stage\u2019s closing set of games.<\/p>\n<p>If Scotland finish first in the group, they will automatically qualify for next year\u2019s tournament across the Atlantic.<\/p>\n<p>But, if the side \u2013 managed by Steve Clarke \u2013 finish second in their group, their fate will decide on an additonal round of fixtures.<\/p>\n<p>Away from the senior team, age group national teams are also undergoing the same process of qualification currently as the sides aim to qualify for the respective tournaments in their age groups.<\/p>\n<p>With this the case, differing teams have been selecting the different names to take part in their squads for the encounters.<\/p>\n<p>Now, Scotland\u2019s Under-19s team have named their squad with a Manchester United duo featuring.<\/p>\n<p>Revealing the selection on the official <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scottishfa.co.uk\/news\/scotland-mens-under-19-squad-confirmed-for-uefa-euro-2026-qualifiers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Scotland FA website,<\/a> Scotland have revealed manager Neil MacFarlane has named a squad of twenty players to travel to Lithuania for fixtures against Latvia, Lithunia, and England.<\/p>\n<p>Amongst the names chosen are Daniel Armer and Tyler Fletcher who both currently play for United\u2019s Under-21s side.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, <a href=\"https:\/\/centredevils.co.uk\/news\/england-officially-call-up-manchester-united-duo-for-three-qualifiers-including-scotland-clash\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">England revealed their selection for the same set of fixtures with Harry Amass and Jack Fletcher selected<\/a> for the side meaning that Jack Fletcher and Tyler Fletcher \u2013 who are brothers \u2013 could face off on opposite sides.<\/p>\n<p>With the selection now revealed, attention could turn towards the games themselves which will take place in the middle of this month.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/whatsapp.com\/channel\/0029VaChfxG0rGiSe18EXk04\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CLICK HERE TO JOIN THE CENTREDEVILS WHATSAPP GROUP CHAT NOW!<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"&#13;
