Mohamed Salah has had a difficult start to the season at Liverpool and has struggled to match the lofty expectations he sets for himself.<\/strong><\/p>\n Arne Slot<\/a>\u2018s side have endured an inconsistent period following their strong start, having won just one of their last six Premier League games<\/p>\n While a number of players are receiving heaving criticism,\u00a0Mohamed Salah is coming under particular scrutiny<\/a>, with questions being asked of his performances.<\/p>\n Liverpool\u2019s 2-0 win against Aston Villa<\/a>, in which Salah found the net, and 1-0 win against Real Madrid<\/a> have given them renewed optimism, but concerns still linger.<\/p>\n This comes after Football Insider<\/strong>\u00a0revealed on 24 October that\u00a0Salah has a \u201cproblem\u201d at Liverpool<\/a>\u00a0as he is struggling to turn in consistently impressive performances.<\/p>\n Former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told\u00a0Football Insider<\/strong>\u00a0on 6 November that\u00a0Liverpool are plotting a move for Yankuba Minteh<\/a> as a long-term target.<\/p>\n As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider\u2019s Inside Track podcast<\/a><\/strong>, interest in the Brighton winger comes amid plans to sign a replacement for Salah as the Reds are putting long-term plans in place to build for the future.<\/p>\n MORE FOOTBALL INSIDER STORIES<\/p>\n Minteh has been labelled one of the Premier League\u2019s most exciting players, with the Reds interested due to his pace and direct nature which fits their style of play.<\/p>\n Speaking on the Inside Track podcast<\/strong>, I explained: \u201cMinteh is a very exciting player, one of the most exciting players in the Premier League on his day.<\/p>\n \u201cObviously there is the obvious links with Arne Slot, having worked with him in his final season in charge of Feyenoord as well.<\/p>\n \u201cNo surprise that maybe Liverpool are looking at him.
