Manchester City is to open a huge new shop at the Trafford<\/a> Centre – and in good news for Blues fans, it will be opening just in time for Christmas<\/a> shopping.<\/p>\n

Hoardings have now gone up at the City store unit on Peel Avenue inside the vast shopping mall, next to the John Lewis department store and Waterstones.<\/p>\n

The news comes amid burgeoning times at the Trafford Centre<\/a>, which has welcomed a raft of its own big new signings in recent months, including Urban Outfitters, Bershka, Gymshark and Whittard.<\/p>\n

Man City<\/a> bosses have taken over the unit vacated by car company Polestar, which moved its base to Wilmslow at the end of last month.<\/p>\n

The City store is located next to the large Christmas tree in the shopping centre, with the lights being switched on at the weekend <\/a>with a brand new scheme across the mall.<\/p>\n

The bold dark blue and sky blue hoardings with the City emblem say that the new shop will be opening in November, so it could be only days before football fans will get to look inside.<\/p>\n

It will become City’s third shop in Manchester, with existing retail sites at the Etihad Stadium<\/a> and inside the Manchester Arndale shopping centre.<\/p>\n

It will also become the club’s fifth permanent store worldwide after the success of store launches in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and amid successful pop up store launches in New York and South Korea, amid ongoing growth for “Brand Blue” across the world amid the success on the pitch for the team.<\/p>\n

No further details have been announced on an official opening date, beyond “November” on the hoardings.<\/p>\n

However, job adverts are now live for people to join the retail team at the new Trafford Centre store.<\/p>\n

Trading hours are expected to be in line with the rest of the shopping centre, so shoppers can expect the store to be open Monday to Sunday.<\/p>\n

Next week a further two new stores <\/a>will open inside the Trafford Centre.<\/p>\n

First up will be the launch of the new flagship Boux Avenue store on Wednesday, November 12, swiftly followed by fitness brand Trailberg opening its first store inside the mall on Saturday, November 15.<\/p>\n
