The Princess of Wales<\/a> made an elegant appearance at the Royal British Legion’s Festival of Remembrance<\/a> at the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday night, where she was joined by a surprise guest – Prince George.<\/p>\n

Kate and her son, who was attending the annual concert for the first time, accompanied other senior members of the royal family, including King Charles and Queen Camilla. Prince William, who has spent the week in Brazil for the Earthshot Prize, was absent from this year’s event.<\/p>\n

The princess wore a black and white dress with a white collar, fitted bodice and a peplum waist which appears to be by one of her favoured designers, Alessandra Rich<\/a>. She paired the sophisticated midi style with black stilettos, a matching clutch and subtle jewellery, including a diamond cross necklace and pearl droplet earrings which are reported to have belonged to the late Queen Elizabeth. On her collar, Kate wore a sterling silver HMS Glasgow brooch, especially commissioned for her by jeweller James Porter & Son, alongside a poppy to commemorate Remembrance Day.<\/p>\n

Following Saturday evening’s event, Kate joined Queen Camilla on a balcony overlooking the Cenotaph where the annual Remembrance Sunday service is held. Dressed in a black coat with a lace ruffle and a co-ordinating hat, she watched as King Charles led the nation in a two minute silence to honour fallen soldiers. The sovereign, Prince William, other members of the royal family and senior politicians laid wreaths at the war memorial in a moving ceremony.<\/p>\n
