A Remembrance Sunday parade was disrupted by youths on off-road bikes.<\/p>\n

Police in Hindley, Wigan<\/a> blasted the disrespectful incident as ‘reckless behaviour’ and revealed two off-road mini-motorbikes were later seized.<\/p>\n

Hundreds gathered in the centre of Hindley to observe the annual remembrance parade and subsequent church service.<\/p>\n

Police said the bikes ‘pulled out into the oncoming path of the parade’.<\/p>\n

Greater Manchester Police<\/a> confirmed no arrests were made and there were no reports of any injuries.<\/p>\n

Police shared a photograph of the bikes seized on social media.<\/p>\n

In a statement posted on Facebook, GMP Wigan said: “Today in Hindley, two off-road mini-motorbikes were seized by the neighbourhood team after pulling out into the oncoming path of the Remembrance parade.<\/p>\n

“This reckless behavior not only disrupted a solemn event, but also posed a safety risk to parade participants and spectators.<\/p>\n

“There is a legitimate time and place for these types of vehicles. Market Street<\/a> on Remembrance Sunday isn’t one of them.<\/p>\n

The annual Remembrance Sunday procession in Hindley assembled at 10am at the Market Square and council car park on Cross Street.<\/p>\n

The parade made its way along Morris Street to Wigan Road before reaching the war memorial on the corner of Atherton Road and Liverpool Road, outside St Peter’s Church.<\/p>\n

A service and wreath-laying ceremony was held before a service of remembrance at All Saints Church.<\/p>\n

The parade cam to an end at the town hall car park with the national anthem.<\/p>\n
