Police called to an incident in Bristol(Image: Paul Gillis)<\/p>\n
A suspect in his 30s has been arrested in Bristol after reports of a cosh-carrying man making threats in a shop. Cops were called to Castle Park on Sunday morning.<\/p>\n
They had been called after staff at premises in Wine Street said they had been threatened. Police units were sent to the scene shortly after 8.30am.<\/p>\n
They arrested a man who remains in custody. He is expected to be questioned today.<\/p>\n
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police has given details. She said: “Patrolling officers arrested a man in Castle Park, Bristol, at about 8.45am on Sunday 9 November.<\/p>\n
“They had responded to a call from staff at a shop in Wine Street at about 8.25am, reporting a man making threats.<\/p>\n
“After enquiries including checks with Bristol City Council<\/a> \u2019s CCTV team, they found a man matching the description in the park.<\/p>\n “A man in his thirties from Bristol was arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon (a cosh) and possession with intent to supply cocaine.
