Apple TV premiered the first two episodes of \u201cBreaking Bad\u201d creator Vince Gilligan\u2019s highly anticipated and critically acclaimed new series, \u201cPluribus,\u201d the other day.<\/p>\n

In the series, Rhea Seehorn plays author Carol Sturka, a woman who is one of the last people on Earth immune to an extraterrestrial virus that transforms everyone in the world into a relentlessly optimistic hive mind.<\/p>\n

Those watching the series through the credits found a note saying \u201cThis show was made by humans,\u201d a direct swipe at productions that rely on AI.<\/p>\n

Previously, Gilligan has slammed AI as he discussed the series \u2013 saying he hasn\u2019t used ChatGPT: \u201cI will never use it, no offense to anyone who does,\u201d before explaining he wrote the series nearly ten years ago and wasn\u2019t thinking about AI at the time.<\/p>\n

The credits disclaimer comes as artificial intelligence is becoming trickier to spot and more widely used. Such disclaimers will likely become more prevalent in the future.<\/p>\n

A second season of the show has already been greenlit, and while Gilligan doesn\u2019t have an overall length in mind for the show, he tells Discussing Film<\/a> that \u201cmaybe four seasons\u201d would be the max. However, \u201cwho the hell knows?\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
