If you thought this weekend was hot, then brace yourselves for Wednesday.<\/p>\n
The UK is predicted to have its hottest day of the year so far this coming week, with temperatures as high as 28\u00b0C.<\/p>\n
Humid weather<\/a> gave the low 20s of the weekend a slightly sweaty quality, but starting from Monday, the heat will be even higher.<\/p>\n \u2018We\u2019re certainly on track to see the warmest spell of the year so far\u2019, said Met Office<\/a> meteorologist Craig Snell.<\/p>\n \u2018The warm trend has already started now across southern areas. At the moment we\u2019ve got up to 21.5\u00b0C in central London and Hull.<\/p>\n \u2018As we go through the next few days we will see the warm spell continue.\u2019<\/p>\n Each day from Monday to Wednesday will likely beat the last to claim the title of \u2018hottest day of the year so far\u2019.<\/p>\n \t\t \t\t Monday is forecast to hit 24\u00b0C. By Wednesday, there is a slim chance temperatures could reach 29\u00b0C in some places.<\/p>\n And you what that means? Tops off, beer gardens open, and ice cream melting down your fingers before you\u2019ve had a chance to lick it.<\/p>\n \u2018There will be plenty of sunshine around\u2019, Snell said.<\/p>\n \u2018The very north of Scotland at times will see some spells of rain, especially at the beginning of the week, but it\u2019s going to be limited to the far north of Scotland.
