\n Halesowen turned out in is masses for the annual Remembrance Parade in the town centre.\n<\/p>\n
\n Veterans and serving armed forces personnel, community leaders, the emergency services, schoolchildren and more paid tribute today (November 9) to those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for the country.\n<\/p>\n
\n 7-year-old\u00a0Elliott Shelley was the proud flag bearer for\u00a0Hasbury Halesowen District Beavers Flag Bearer and laid a wreath.\n<\/p>\n

\n Two students from Lutley Primary School also had the opportunity to lay wreaths at the parade.\n<\/p>\n
\n Headteacher Alex Hall called today’s parade a “special moment”.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n Mr Hall said: “It was such a special moment to see so many local people come together.\n<\/p>\n
\n “We laid our Lutley community-created wreath of knitted poppies again this year.\n<\/p>\n
\n “Parents, children and members of our newly formed Community knit and natter group made the poppies on display on our wreath.\n<\/p>\n
\n “It was laid by Max in year six, who is a member of the cubs\/scouts.\n<\/p>\n

\n “We also had Nora, who laid a wreath for her Brownies group.”\n<\/p>\n
\n Commenting on the borough’s turnout today (November 9), Mayor of Dudley, Cllr Pete Lee, said: “It has been an honour and a privilege to\u00a0have led tributes today to those who serve or have served in the armed forces and pay our respects to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country and this borough.\n<\/p>\n
