Catherine, Princess of Wales<\/a>, attended the Remembrance Sunday service yesterday, which she watched from her usual spot on the balcony on Whitehall in London with Queen Camilla. For the occasion, Kate chose one of her favourite coat dresses by Catherine Walker, although she had styled it slightly differently than usual. She had also chosen to pay tribute to Princess Diana <\/a>with a certain element of her outfit.<\/p>\n

Kate wore the Evie coat dress<\/a> from Catherine Walker, although it looked differently to the last time she wore it for the same event in 2022. There appeared to be a slightly different collar and Kate had also added a navy lace jabot. Her hat, meanwhile, was a black version of Lock & Co. Hatters’ ‘Belvedere’ style, which she wore with her hair partially pulled back. Lock & Co. are also responsible for the poppy brooch Kate wore. <\/p>\n

It was her earrings, however, which carried special significance. The Collingwood pearl-and-diamond earrings were previously owned by Diana, former Princess of Wales<\/a>, when they were given to her as a wedding gift in 1981. In fact, Diana wore the earrings for many events, often pairing them with another favourite of Kate’s: the Lover’s Knot tiara, which is thought to be worth a staggering \u00a31,000,000<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Kate first wore the earrings (incidentally with the same tiara) to a state banquet in 2017 and, since then, she has worn them numerous times, for both gala and daytime events. She even wore them in her 40th birthday portraits<\/a>, taken by fashion photographer Paolo Roversi. <\/p>\n

The Princess of Wales was also at the the Royal British Legion’s Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday evening<\/a>, for which she wore another of her favourite designers: Alessandra Rich. For the first time, she was joined by Prince George, as Prince William was absent. <\/p>\n
