Germany manager Julian Nagelsmann says he is not worried about Florian Wirtz<\/a>\u2019s performances at Liverpool, saying he\u2019s made \u201csteps in the right direction\u201d as he directed a blunt truth to Liverpool.<\/b><\/p>\n

The 22-year-old has failed to record a goal or an assist in any of his 11 outings in the Premier League<\/a> since signing from Bayer Leverkusen<\/a> in June, despite creating a plethora of chances.<\/p>\n

And Gary Neville said Wirtz looked like a \u201clittle boy\u201d during Sunday\u2019s 3-0 defeat to Man City<\/a> at the Etihad.<\/p>\n

But Nagelsmann, who has included Wirtz in Germany\u2019s squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Luxembourg and Slovakia, has revealed he is in regular contact with the midfielder and is not worried about his form since moving to Anfield.<\/p>\n

\u201cI watched the game against City and they were the worse team over 90 minutes.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

However, the Germany international showed signs of improvement in the 1-0 win against Real Madrid<\/a> last week, where he started on the left.<\/p>\n

Wirtz can expect to feature more frequently after the international break, with Liverpool playing nine games across all competitions before the end of December.<\/p>\n
