Racist graffiti daubed on walls close to train tracks in Co Antrim is \u201ccompletely unacceptable\u201d, an MLA has said.<\/p>\n
Alliance MLA Sian Mulholland has hit out after photos emerged online of the graffiti at separate locations in Dunloy and Ballymena.<\/p>\n
On the Toome Road, Ballymena, a swastika was painted on the wall of the railway bridge alongside a racist slur. A further slur was also painted onto an electricity junction box at the location.<\/p>\n
The same slurs were also daubed on both walls of a similar railway bridge on the Anticur Road, Dunloy.<\/p>\n

Ms Mulholland said the incidents had been reported to the PSNI.<\/p>\n
“I unequivocally condemn this graffiti as racist, hateful, and completely unacceptable,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
“There is no place in North Antrim – or anywhere in Northern Ireland – for racism, antisemitism, or hatred of any kind.<\/p>\n
“I stand in solidarity with those affected, particularly minority and ethnic communities who may feel unsafe or unwelcome.<\/p>\n

Gerry Carroll accuses Education Minister of ‘stirring up hatred’ and says he has lost ‘majority’ of cross-party support<\/p>\n
“I have reported this incident to the PSNI and to the landowner to have it removed urgently. I urge anyone with information to come forward and help prevent further incidents.<\/p>\n
“Together, we must work towards a Northern Ireland where everyone feels safe, respected, and valued.\u201d<\/p>\n
