Julian Nagelsmann, the German national team manager, has suggested that Liverpool’s<\/a> instability this season is to blame for Florian Wirtz’s<\/a> dip in form. Wirtz, who moved to Anfield from Bayer Leverkusen for a whopping \u00a3116million, has struggled to make an impact in his seven Premier League<\/a> starts, with his latest underwhelming performance coming against Manchester City<\/a>.<\/p>\n Despite failing to score or assist in the Premier League <\/a>since his big-money move, the midfielder has been selected by Nagelsmann<\/a> for Germany’s World Cup <\/a>qualifiers against Luxembourg and Slovakia this month. During a press conference, Nagelsmann addressed Wirtz’s inconsistent performances, stating: “To be honest, the whole situation does not make it easy for him either.<\/p>\n “The whole club itself [Liverpool<\/a>] is not as stable this year as it was last year. So it is also difficult for Flo to make any real big impact.<\/p>\n “Ultimately, the overall situation is such that he just needs a little more time – which is normal and you see that with other players, who move to the English Premier League as well.”<\/p>\n Nagelsmann also urged Wirtz’s Liverpool teammates to convert the chances he creates.<\/p>\n “We all know what he is capable of and it is perfectly normal for a player of his age to go through a bit of a dip in form,” the former Bayern Munich<\/a> boss added.<\/p>\n “We cannot expect him to perform at the same level for three years straight.<\/p>\n “Instead, we all need to support him a little bit, so that he can clear his head here and then, maybe, Liverpool could also help him out by scoring some of the chances he creates.<\/p>\n “That would be one idea, because he does create a few chances. It is just that they somehow do not like to shoot the ball in, from those chances.
