More so than ever during Daniel Farke’s tenure, fans want him out – but LeedsUnited.News understands nothing is immediate, on that front.

The stats do not make for pretty reading. Four defeats in five Premier League games to Spurs, Burnley, Brighton, and then Forest, intersected with a crucial win over West Ham. Five defeats in six away games.

The 3-1 loss at Forest leaves Leeds in 16th place in the Premier League table. But the gap between the Whites and the bottom three has gone from four points, to just one. West Ham are sitting in 18th place.

Tim Sherwood thought Farke would go, while Graham Smyth reported that there was anger in the away end at full-time, and it was directed at Farke. But an announcement is unlikely to come any time soon.

Photo by Harry Murphy/Getty ImagesWhat Leeds insiders are saying about Daniel Farke’s future

According to LeedsUnited.News insider Graeme Bailey, Farke is not going anywhere yet. Indeed, the plan is that he will be given until January to sort things out, before the 49ers then take action if required.

Of course, that is barring anything drastic. Farke is not on the brink of the sack or in any immediate danger despite fans calling for his head. Bailey says the 49ers are aware that the squad has limitations.

“Pressure is mounting on Daniel Farke – but he knew this was coming and the club did too. This is going to be a long season. Everyone was aware. They didn’t spend the tens of millions that Sunderland did.

MORE LEEDS UNITED STORIES

“They know Farke can only do so much with the squad at his disposal. But the quality of performance and how they compete is going to be vital in the coming weeks,” Bailey continued, discussing Farke’s future.

Photo by Andrew Kearns – CameraSport via Getty ImagesLeeds United’s fixture list until the January transfer window

Most Leeds fans will be aware by now that the club’s list of fixtures is deeply concerning. Having failed to get points against Fulham, Burnley, Brighton and now Forest, Leeds find themselves up against it.

After the break, Leeds begin with a home clash against an in-form Aston Villa. Unai Emery has guided his side to a run of eight wins in 10 games in all competitions. They dispatched Bournemouth 4-0 on Sunday.

Then, Leeds go to Man City, who just smashed Liverpool 3-0. Farke’s men will then face Chelsea, Liverpool and surprise packages Brentford and Sunderland, before hosting FA Cup winners Crystal Palace.

For Leeds fans, it is difficult to find where Leeds are going to pick up their next point. The advantage of Elland Road is going to be needed like never before for a group of players that will be low on confidence.

For Leeds United fans, Sunday felt different.
