Strictly’s results show is hugely popular and over seven million people came together to watch it live last Sunday night.”

The BBC also shared that last Sunday’s result show brought in 7.1 million viewers, with numbers expected to grow once BBC iPlayer viewers are factored in.

The broadcaster added that the Sunday show’s overnight figure was five million viewers more than the most-watched program on other channels.

Vicky Pattison ‘confirms’ first star for Strictly Come Dancing 2026

Vicky Pattison seemed to confirm that Dani Dyer would be the first star to appear in next year’s series of the BBC show.

Dyer was previously meant to appear in the current series; however, she had to pull out due to a serious injury.

Unable to dance, Dyer has been showing support for fellow celebrities online and recently sat in the studio audience for Strictly.

Recommended Reading

Taking to Instagram, Dyer shared a post at the Strictly studios, writing: “So happy I got to watch @bbcstrictly last night.. missed you all and so proud.

“And my beautiful @vickypattison just love you so much and watching you live was just PERFECT!! love you all loads.”

Pattison was quick to add a comment to Dyer’s post, seemingly confirming her return for the 2026 series, writing: “I love you so much mate, my girl!!!
