A fundraiser has been launched for a young mum who died in an Oldbury street.<\/p>\n

Lily Whitehouse – described as being ‘full of light, laughter, and kindness’ – was found seriously injured in Park Street at around 9.50pm on Wednesday, November 5.<\/p>\n

Despite the best efforts of medics, the 19-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n

Mohammed Azim, of Tividale Road, Tipton, was charged with Lily’s murder last week.<\/p>\n

The 41-year-old appeared before Wolverhampton Crown Court on Monday morning (November 10), where a plea and trial preparation hearing was scheduled for December 16.<\/p>\n

A GoFundMe page<\/a> has now been launched to raise \u00a32,000 to give the teenager the ‘farewell she deserves’.<\/p>\n

An introductory post on the fundraising page, created by a relative, read: “On Wednesday, November 5, our beautiful Lily Whitehouse was tragically taken from us at just 19 years old.<\/p>\n

“Lily was full of light, laughter, and kindness. She had so many dreams ahead of her.<\/p>\n

“As we face this unbearable loss, we are also working toward getting justice for Lily, ensuring her memory is honoured with dignity and love.<\/p>\n

“We are creating this fundraiser to help cover funeral and memorial expenses, giving Lily the farewell she deserves.<\/p>\n

“Any funds remaining after these costs will be placed into a trust fund for her baby, to support her when she is older and ensure Lily\u2019s love continues to guide and care for her child in the years to come.”<\/p>\n

Flowers and other tributes have been left at the scene, close to where the Lily was found.<\/p>\n

One note attached to a bouquet of flowers read: “Such a beautiful soul, taken away too soon.<\/p>\n

“You will be missed by all. Sleep in paradise, beautiful.”<\/p>\n

A second note said: “May you rest in peace.
