Carlos Alcaraz<\/a> has enjoyed his best season on the tour so far this year, lifting eight titles, including two at Grand Slam level. But the world No. 1 has also been through some dramatic changes when it comes to his appearance.<\/p>\n

The Spanish star sent shockwaves around the US Open locker room a few months ago when he shaved his hair off<\/a> ahead of the tournament. His buzzcut ended up being something of a lucky charm, however, and he went on to lift the trophy.<\/p>\n

Alcaraz fancied another change after his triumph in Flushing Meadows, and bleached his hair blonde once he returned home to Murcia. Since then, the six-time Major winner has been rocking the platinum look – and his team are already \u201cscared\u201d about his next move.<\/p>\n

The world No. 1 opened up on his transformation during a rare joint interview with his biggest rival, Jannik Sinner<\/a>, on CNN<\/a> and admitted that his coaches were fearful of his next hairstyle.<\/p>\n

Summing up his season in hairstyles, Alcaraz laughed and said: \u201cJust two changes, well three actually. My team are scared about it next year!<\/p>\n

\u201cThis year has been really good with the changes. If something works, why should I change it?\u201d<\/p>\n

While Alcaraz\u2019s coaches are fearful of his next hairstyle, Sinner gave the 22-year-old his seal of approval on the platinum buzzcut.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnexpected, but it\u2019s great, it\u2019s great,\u201d the Italian laughed. However, Sinner won\u2019t be following in Alcaraz\u2019s footsteps anytime soon.<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cHonestly, I\u2019m good with this messy hair. But again, you know, it\u2019s great, it suits him very well. I like it like this with the black and white.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alcaraz and Sinner are both in action at the ATP Finals in Turin, where they\u2019re also locked in battle for the year-end No. 1 ranking. And Sinner found another upside to the Spaniard\u2019s hairdo.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s also good because we are in Turin, you can cheer for Juventus. It\u2019s perfect,\u201d Sinner added, as his rival admitted he \u201cdidn\u2019t think about\u201d that.<\/p>\n

Alcaraz has already lifted one trophy as a blonde – he won the Japan Open in Tokyo<\/a> a few weeks ago.
