Patrick Bamford could be set for a shock move, just months after his Leeds United exit.<\/strong><\/p>\n Bamford departed Leeds United in the summer<\/a>, after both parties agreed to terminate the contract and allow the Englishman to look for his next club.<\/p>\n Since then, a move to Getafe has fallen through for Bamford<\/a>, who has also been pictured with Frank Lampard\u2019s Coventry City.<\/p>\n However, Lampard<\/a> made it clear that there was never going to be an official move made to sign the striker, who now looks as though he is edging closer to his next move.<\/p>\n Last season, Leeds<\/a> and Sheffield United were neck and neck for the most part, with aspirations of making it back into the Premier League.<\/p>\n Of course, the Whites succeeded in their attempts, while the Blades suffered a play-off final defeat to Sunderland, which truly marked their downfall.<\/p>\n Chris Wilder\u2019s side sit in the relegation zone, and according to Mike McGrath via X on 12 November, they are in talks with Bamford<\/a>.<\/p>\n Scoring goals has been a big concern for the Blades this season, with just 11 from their 15 fixtures, which is only four less than Bamford has scored since 2022.<\/p>\n Leeds fans still have a small place in their heart for Bamford<\/a>, and to see him potentially on the move to a rival will anger them, though there is also a sense of irony about the move.<\/p>\n Read more:<\/strong>\u00a0Every Leeds player on international duty this month<\/a><\/p>\n Chris Wilder and Patrick Bamford were involved in controversy<\/p>\n When Leeds were promoted at Sheffield United\u2019s expense, Bamford led an explicit chant aimed at Wilder<\/a>.<\/p>\n Footage surfaced online, and it was evidently noticed by Wilder, who was later forced to respond to the words said by his potential new striker.<\/p>\n The Sheffield United manager claimed to take no offence to the chant, and explained the relationship he has with the Englishman.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m a big boy, you give it, you take it,\u201d Wilder said on the incident back in April.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n \u201cYou give it out locally, you take it locally, as I\u2019ve always done. We have our moments, other teams have their moments.<\/p>\n \u201cI had a conversation with Pat yesterday, and I\u2019ve no issue at all with it. I\u2019m not sure about the words from a fellow pro, but I appreciate and respect him giving me a call, and we had 20 minutes. I spoke to Daniel [Farke] as well and had a half-hour chat with him.
