A Glasgow resident<\/a> has been left disgusted after a burst sewer triggered a “jobby geyser” spewing human waste onto the street.<\/p>\n

The man says that the burst pipe on Hector Road in Shawlands<\/a>, southside, left “turds all over the pavement” for nearly two weeks.<\/p>\n

In a post, they said: “Hey Scottish Water, just wondering when you are going to get to permanently fixing the collapsed sewer pipe on Hector Road in Shawlands, Glasgow?<\/p>\n

“Don\u2019t want to sound pushy, but it\u2019s been over two weeks since you first came out, and now it\u2019s spewing human turds all over the pavement<\/p>\n

“It would be a real treat if residents of all ages didn\u2019t have to avoid a jobby geyser whilst walking down the street.”<\/p>\n

Scottish Water<\/a> has since confirmed that the sewer has been repaired and is operating as normal.<\/p>\n

Work in the area<\/a>, however, remains ongoing.<\/p>\n

A Scottish Water spokesperson told Glasgow Live<\/a>: \u201cWe\u2019re aware of a recent issue with the local sewer network on Hector Road in Shawlands.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur teams, working with our contractor Clancy, have now completed the necessary repair and the system is operating as normal. The site will remain in place until reinstatement work is completed.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe understand this issue will have caused disruption and inconvenience for residents in the area.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur teams responded as quickly as possible to resolve the problem and we\u2019d like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding while this essential work was carried out.<\/p>\n
