href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyrecord.co.uk\/news\/politics\/\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"EURO 2028.Link opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">EURO 2028.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"dailyrecord\">Football fans will be treated to group games and latter stages matches after the UK and Ireland secured the right to stage the <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyrecord.co.uk\/news\/politics\/john-swinney-says-uk-government-36234174\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"tournamentLink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">tournament<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"dailyrecord\">EURO 2028 will be the largest sporting event ever hosted by the two countries and Scotland is set to reap the <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyrecord.co.uk\/news\/politics\/john-swinney-says-uk-government-36234174\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"benefitsLink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">benefits<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"dailyrecord\">The eagerly anticipated match schedule will see matches in nine stadia across eight host cities.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"dailyrecord\">Of the 51 games across 31 days, Glasgow will host six at Hampden between June 10th and July 1st 2028.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"dailyrecord\">Four group games will be played at the national stadium, as have acted as a host city for the tournament.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"dailyrecord\">Wembley will host the final and the football extravaganza will start at the National Stadium of Wales in Cardiff.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"dailyrecord\">The draw has not been made and Scotland\u2019s fans will be hoping to see their heroes play at Hampden.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"dailyrecord\">The official brand was launched on the giant Piccadilly Lights screens in London\u2019s Piccadilly Circus, while Glasgow unveiled their host city logo featuring the iconic Armadillo.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"dailyrecord\">Three million tickets are expected to go on sale and the Scottish Government estimates an economic boost of \u00a3270m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"dailyrecord\">First Minister John Swinney said: \u201cOur investment in EURO 2028 will bring significant benefits not only during the tournament but long after it concludes by creating jobs, driving regional prosperity and encouraging visitors to our shores.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"dailyrecord\">\u201cThis spectacle of European football\u2019s finest will bring communities together and offer a fresh opportunity to provide a warm Scottish welcome, deliver vibrant celebrations and reinforce our global reputation for hospitality.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"dailyrecord\">\u201cWith funding going into health and wellbeing programmes across Scotland, the EUROs can be a force for good in tackling inequalities and supporting communities.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"dailyrecord\">\u201cThe Scottish Government has already invested \u00a35.5 million in the Extra Time programme
