{"id":567353,"date":"2025-11-13T09:41:47","date_gmt":"2025-11-13T09:41:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/567353\/"},"modified":"2025-11-13T09:41:47","modified_gmt":"2025-11-13T09:41:47","slug":"birmingham-newman-university-2025-graduation-ceremony","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/567353\/","title":{"rendered":"Birmingham Newman University 2025 graduation ceremony"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  Birmingham Newman University held its 2025 graduation ceremony at the ICC in Birmingham, honouring the achievements of students from a wide range of courses.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Among the graduates was Anna Rothera, who completed a Professional Policing Degree and has become the first Birmingham Newman University PPD student to become a full-time police officer, now serving as a constable with West Midlands Police.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Jo Beard earned a First Class Honours in BA Early Childhood Studies and described the university as a transformative place.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Ms Beard said: &#8220;Birmingham Newman University was where my passion for early years really came to life.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;I was surrounded by passionate peers and inspirational lecturers who helped me overcome lots of self-doubt.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;I will always have a Birmingham Newman shaped spot in my heart.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  She now works for the NHS, applying both her academic training and practical skills.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Joshua Robinson, who graduated with a BSc in Sports Coaching, recalled helping to organise a Mini Olympics for schoolchildren during his studies.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Mr Robinson said: &#8220;My time at Newman University has been an incredible journey full of opportunities to learn, grow and get involved in the community.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  He has secured a place on the Graduate Business Management Programme at Wates Group, one of just 71 selected from more than 8,000 applicants.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Other standout stories include Amarpreet Kaur Mandier, who earned First Class Honours in Working with Children, Young People and Families despite a late-diagnosed learning disability and is now pursuing a PGCE.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Chantelle Wright graduated with a First in Early Childhood Education and plans to study for a master\u2019s in criminal studies, with the goal of working with young offenders.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Carris Strong also achieved First Class Honours in Early Childhood Education while working full-time and now looks forward to exploring new roles in the sector.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  All graduates spoke of the university\u2019s supportive community and the life-changing impact it has had on their personal and professional development.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Birmingham Newman University held its 2025 graduation ceremony at the ICC in Birmingham, honouring the achievements of students&hellip;\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":567354,"comment_status":"","ping_status":"","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[7820],"tags":[855,748,393,4884,16,15],"class_list":{"0":"post-567353","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-birmingham","8":"tag-birmingham","9":"tag-britain","10":"tag-england","11":"tag-great-britain","12":"tag-uk","13":"tag-united-kingdom"},"share_on_mastodon":{"url":"https:\/\/pubeurope.com\/@uk\/115541740334848221","error":""},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/567353","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=567353"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/567353\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/567354"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=567353"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=567353"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=567353"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
