You could go and see\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/london\/news\/the-best-christmas-market-in-london-returns-for-2025-this-week-111025\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hyde Park\u2019s Winter Wonderland on its opening night<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/london\/news\/in-pictures-the-natural-history-museums-t-rex-has-a-jazzy-new-christmas-jumper-for-the-2025-festive-season-110925\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">see a T-rex in a\u00a0Christmas\u00a0jumper at the Natural History Museum<\/a>, or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/london\/things-to-do\/southbank-centre-winter-market\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">head to the Southbank Centre winter market<\/a> to browse handmade goodies with a hot chocolate in hand.<\/p>\n<p>If it\u2019s still a bit early for festive stuff, what about a trip to the theatre (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/london\/theatre\/othello-23-review\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Othello is currently on<\/a> if you\u2019re a Shakespeare nut, otherwise <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/london\/theatre\/gwendas-garage-review\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">we recommend indie musical \u2018Gwenda\u2019s Garage\u2019<\/a>)?\u00a0Whatever you\u2019re up to in the capital this weekend, the likelihood is you\u2019ll need to use public transport to get there.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>However, the coming days will also see London\u2019s transport network hit\u00a0by a lot of planned\u00a0closures.\u00a0If you\u2019re due to take off from Heathrow, make sure to plan your route ahead of time, as both the Elizabeth line and Heathrow Express are facing major\u00a0disruption this weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s everything you need to know about travel disruption in London over the next few days, November 14-16.<\/p>\n<p><strong>RECOMMENDED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/london\/things-to-do-in-london-this-weekend\" data-modified-href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/london\/things-to-do-in-london-this-weekend\" data-modified- target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The best things to do in London this weekend<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>London travel disruption and tube closures, November 14-16<\/strong><br \/>\nHeathrow Express<\/p>\n<ul>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>The Heathrow Express <strong>will not run<\/strong> on Saturday November 15 or Sunday November 16. To get to Heathrow, you can instead use the Piccadilly line, or London bus connections, although be aware that these will likely be very busy. Don\u2019t use the Elizabeth line \u2013 more on that below.\u00a0<\/li>\n<p>&#13;\n<\/ul>\n<p>Elizabeth line<\/p>\n<ul>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>On Saturday November 15 and Sunday November 16, there will be <strong>no service between Hayes &amp; Harlington and Heathrow<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>On Saturday and Sunday, <strong>no trains will run between Stratford or Abbey Wood and Paddington<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>On Saturday and Sunday, there will be a\u00a0<strong>reduced service between Paddington and Hayes &amp; Harlington<\/strong>. There will be two trains an hour serving Acton Main Line and Hanwell, four trains an hour serving West Ealing, and six trains per hour will stop at Ealing Broadway, Southall and Hayes &amp; Harlington.<\/li>\n<p>&#13;\n<\/ul>\n<p>Piccadilly line<\/p>\n<ul>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>On Friday November 14, <strong>no trains will run between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li><strong>The entire Uxbridge branch will be shut<\/strong> on Saturday November 15 and Sunday November 16. All trains bound for Uxbridge will instead terminate at Acton Town. A replacement bus service will be in operation.<\/li>\n<p>&#13;\n<\/ul>\n<p>Metropolitan line<\/p>\n<ul>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>The <strong>Uxbridge branch line will be closed<\/strong> on Saturday November 15 and Sunday November 16. Trains on the Uxbridge line will instead terminate at Harrow-on-the-Hill. A replacement bus service will operate on the same route.<\/li>\n<p>&#13;\n<\/ul>\n<p>DLR<\/p>\n<ul>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>On Saturday November 15 and Sunday November 16 there will be <strong>no service between Canning Town and Stratford International<\/strong>. You can use the Jubilee line or bus services instead.<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>Cutty Sark station is closed until next spring \u2013 you <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/london\/news\/one-of-south-londons-busiest-train-stations-is-closing-this-weekend-for-a-year-053025\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">find out why here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<p>&#13;\n<\/ul>\n<p>Mildmay line (Overground)<\/p>\n<ul>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>On Saturday\u00a0November 15 and Sunday November 16, the <strong>Mildmay line will be closed between Richmond\/Shepherd\u2019s Bush and Gospel Oak<\/strong>. This means the entire Richmond branch line will be out of service.<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>On Saturday and Sunday, there will also be a <strong>reduced service between Shepherd\u2019s Bush and Clapham Junction<\/strong>, with a combined TfL and Southern Railway service running every 15 minutes.<\/li>\n<p>&#13;\n<\/ul>\n<p>Suffragette line (Overground)<\/p>\n<p>Certain trains will not run on the Suffragette line this weekend. These are:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday November 14<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>11.03pm from Barking Riverside to Gospel Oak to terminate at Upper Holloway<\/li>\n<p>&#13;\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Saturday November 15<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>6.54pm, 8.39pm from Gospel Oak to Barking Riverside<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>7.48pm, 9.33pm from Barking Riverside to Gospel Oak<\/li>\n<p>&#13;\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Sunday<\/strong> <strong>November<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>16<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>9.09am from Gospel Oak to Barking Riverside<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>10.03am from Barking Riverside to Gospel Oak<\/li>\n<p>&#13;\n<\/ul>\n<p>Windrush line (Overground)<\/p>\n<ul>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>On Sunday November 16 there will be <strong>no service between Surrey Quays and Clapham Junction\/Battersea Park<\/strong>, meaning the Clapham Junction branch line will be totally shut.<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>On Sunday there will also be <strong>no service between Highbury &amp; Islington and Dalston Junction<\/strong> after 10.15pm.<\/li>\n<p>&#13;\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Get the latest and greatest from the Big Smoke \u2013 from news and reviews to events and trends.
