It\u2019s certainly no secret that here at Secret London<\/strong>, we\u2019re really rather fond of our capital city<\/a>. But look, we\u2019re only human. There are things about this magical but mayhemic metropolis of ours that well and truly drive us up the (Roman) wall. And for a change \u2013 because life\u2019s about balance, and all that \u2013 those slightly more irksome aspects<\/strong> are what we\u2019re going to be banging on about today.<\/p>\n

You may be aware that we\u2019ve become pretty partial to asking our lovely, loyal Secret London Instagram followers<\/strong> to share with us their thoughts, theories, findings, and feelings about life in London. Because, well\u2026 it\u2019s become abundantly clear that they have a whole lot of them to share. Each and every week, we put up a poll<\/strong> and ask our audience to put their two cents in. And this week, we asked them to tell us what they would most like to see banned from London<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

What our Secret London\u2019s followers would most like to see banned from the capital city <\/p>\n

We offered up four options, each of which absolutely grind our gears, and a lot of people cast their vote. With 12% of the vote<\/strong>, eating on public transport came as the least ban-able of the bunch. And loud music blaring from pedicabs received 22% of the vote<\/strong>. Again \u2013 irritating, but not exile-worthy. Here\u2019s where people started to get a tad more frustrated, though.<\/p>\n

Earning itself 30% of the vote<\/strong> (only marginally less than the first place offence) is people stopping in the middle of the pavement. I mean, the less said on that the better, really. But claiming the top spot<\/strong> as the thing that our Secret London followers would most like to see banned from London is (drum roll, please\u2026) pints that cost over \u00a38<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Obtaining 36% of the vote<\/strong>, eye-wateringly expensive pints take the crown as the most ban-worthy offence in London. Whilst the average cost of a pint in London<\/strong> still sits around the \u00a36.50\/\u00a36.75 mark, we\u2019ve all experienced the heart-stoppingly horrifying moment of reaching over to tap our card on the reader and recoiling in horror at the sight of a figure that starts with the number 8. So, I think it\u2019s only right that \u00a38 beers<\/strong> are catapulted straight out of the capital city.<\/p>\n
