(Credit: Paul Stringer).<\/p>\n<p class=\"aiir-c-news-article__abstract\">\n            Birmingham Hippodrome has announced\u00a0a week-long festival to celebrate new work, next May.\n        <\/p>\n<p><strong>Origins Festival<\/strong>\u00a0will showcase new work from eight Birmingham-based artists who have been part of\u00a0Origins,\u00a0the Hippodrome\u2019s new work and artist development residency programme.<\/p>\n<p>The festival celebrates the culmination of the cohorts\u2019 18-month programme, which offered artists the time and space to develop their practice, explore new ideas, and connect with a community of peers.<\/p>\n<p>Across six days, audiences can expect innovative double-bills, hands-on workshops and lively discussions, showcasing the richness and originality of Birmingham\u2019s creative scene.<\/p>\n<p>Sophia Griffin, Head of New Work and Artist Development at Birmingham Hippodrome, said:\u00a0\u201cWe are delighted to present Origins Festival: Celebrating New Work. This festival represents the culmination of 18 months of dedicated artistic exploration and collaboration, and we can\u2019t wait to share the work with audiences next year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt Birmingham Hippodrome, we believe deeply in the talent and potential of local artists.
