While many fans had assumed this would be the case due to James Gunn teasing the character on the film\u2019s script, TheWrap\u2019s report confirms the villain will indeed be the big bad of the movie.<\/p>\n<p>With the movie also set to feature a temporary alliance between Superman and Lex Luthor, it also tracks that Brainiac would be the foe they have to finally work together to go against. TheWrap\u2019s report also notes that Man of Tomorrow is set to begin production in April, with filming set to start in Atlanta. The movie is set to release in theaters on July 9, 2027.<\/p>\n<p>As of now, little is known about Man of Tomorrow, outside of the fact that it will release on July 9, 2027, and that Corenswet, Hoult, and Rachel Brosnahan are all set to return for the movie.<\/p>\n<p>The Man of Tomorrow is one of Superman\u2019s many nicknames; however, there have also been a handful of DC comic runs that have incorporated the \u2018Man of Tomorrow\u2019 name into their official title. There was also a 2020 animated movie titled\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.superherohype.com\/tag\/superman-man-of-tomorrow\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Superman: Man of Tomorrow<\/a>, but whether or not the DCU movie will be pulling from any of this source material remains unclear at this time.<\/p>\n<p>Superman is now available to rent or purchase on digital outlets such as Apple TV, Fandango at Home, and more.<\/p>\n<p>The synopsis for the movie reads, \u201cSuperman,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.superherohype.com\/tag\/dc-studios\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">DC Studios<\/a>\u2019 first feature film to hit the big screen, is set to soar into theaters worldwide this summer from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.superherohype.com\/tag\/warner-bros-pictures\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Warner Bros. Pictures<\/a>.
