{"id":569157,"date":"2025-11-14T05:23:14","date_gmt":"2025-11-14T05:23:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/569157\/"},"modified":"2025-11-14T05:23:14","modified_gmt":"2025-11-14T05:23:14","slug":"ashley-roberts-among-stars-to-return-to-strictly","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/569157\/","title":{"rendered":"Ashley Roberts among stars to return to Strictly"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Former Strictly Come Dancing finalists Layton Williams, Ashley Roberts, Jay McGuiness and Danny Mac are to return to the show to perform a group dance.<\/p>\n<p>Pussycat Dolls singer Roberts, The Wanted singer McGuiness, and actors Williams and Mac will perform on the results show of the BBC dance programme&#8217;s Blackpool special on Sunday, 23 November.<\/p>\n<p>Roberts, 44 said: &#8220;I\u2019m so excited and grateful to be back on the shiny floor in Blackpool again. Nearly a decade later, let\u2019s see if these jive legs can still do their thing. Sequins always help, I\u2019m sure.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The results show will also feature a performance from singer Lewis Capaldi, accompanied by Strictly\u2019s professional dancers, and the former contestants will revisit their best-known Strictly moments before coming together during their routine.<\/p>\n<p>Mac, 37, said: &#8220;Dancing in Blackpool was an absolute highlight of my time on Strictly.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;To be heading back up to The Tower Ballroom once again is as thrilling as it is terrifying, but I can\u2019t wait to be reunited with all the wonderful people who make this show.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Danny Mac and Oti Mabuse on Strictly Come Dancing\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/00237a0c-614.jpg\"\/><br \/>\nDanny Mac and Oti Mabuse<\/p>\n<p>The Hollyoaks star, who reached the show\u2019s final in 2016, will perform parts of his samba, while McGuiness, who was crowned Strictly champion in 2015, will perform parts of his jive.<\/p>\n<p>McGuiness, 35, said: &#8220;I feel extremely lucky to be part of the Strictly alumni that are going to shake our booties again. I\u2019m ready to have some fun with the old gang and the new gang.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Roberts, who reached the programme\u2019s final in 2018, will also perform elements of her jive, while Williams will perform parts of his quickstep from 2023, when he was a finalist on the show.<\/p>\n<p>The former Bad Education actor, 31, said: &#8220;I\u2019m absolutely buzzing to be back on the most iconic dancefloor there is. Blackpool brings back so many fab memories and it\u2019s a true honour to be invited back.
