Former Indian cricketer Amit Mishra has said that while KL Rahul was taking the major calls while leading the Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2024, the decision-making seems much more decentralised this season, adding that the media created an air of overdemanding LSG owners.<\/p>\n
Lucknow, much like the rest of the teams in the Indian Premier League, underwent a major overhaul after IPL 2024. The team parted ways with Rahul<\/a> and roped in Rishabh Pant as the most expensive signing in Indian Premier League history during the off-season.<\/p>\n Mishra, who played for Lucknow in IPL 2023 and 2024, said that Rahul used to handle most of the heavy work behind the scenes during his time as skipper.<\/p>\n \u201cLast year when I spoke with JL (Justin Langer), he told me that KL Rahul was in full control, he was doing all of the work. He was setting the playing XI and doing the planning. This year, I don\u2019t think that is the case,” Mishra said while speaking on Cricbuzz.<\/p>\n \u201cI think everyone is involved. If you see Pant in the dugout, he is talking with Zak (Zaheer Khan). I also saw Rathi talk with Langer,” Mishra said.<\/p>\n Lucknow are placed in a dangerous position in the points table after playing 10 games in IPL 2025.<\/p>\n The Lucknow management has been cast in a critical light ever since Sanjiv Goenka\u2019s outburst on the field during a discussion with Rahul.<\/p>\n \u201cIf you talk about the owners, I never felt that they were involved too much. The owner never raised his voice or said anything wrong in the dressing room, he was always positive.
