A suspect has been named after two homes on the same road were broken into. Samuel Gates, 27, has been charged following a Merseyside Police investigation into the two burglaries on Victoria Road in New Brighton<\/a> last month.<\/p>\n

The force said the two homes were targeted on Sunday, October 19, with damage caused to both of the front doors. Police made an arrest in connection with the burglaries<\/a> on Tuesday, November 4.<\/p>\n

Gates, of Fairview Avenue in Liscard, has today, Friday, been charged with two counts of burglary dwelling with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm<\/a>. He appeared at Liverpool Magistrates’ Court<\/a> this morning.<\/p>\n

Detective Inspector Kevin O’Rourke, who leads Merseyside Police’s Operation Castle<\/a>, targeting burglars, said: “This investigation continues and we would continue to ask that anyone with information comes forward.<\/p>\n

“Key to us putting offenders behind bars is information provided by our communities so please tell us what you know and we can take positive action.”<\/p>\n
