French Armed Forces Minister Catherine Vautrin pledged that Paris \u201cwill continue to support Ukraine for as long as it takes,\u201d and pointed to France\u2019s work preparing security guarantees for Kyiv in the Franco-British \u201ccoalition of the willing.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>She also called for stricter enforcement of sanctions, warning that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.eu\/article\/eu-seeks-boost-powers-to-board-shadow-fleet-vessels-exclusive-document-sanctions-war\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Russia\u2019s sanctions-evading \u201cghost fleet\u201d<\/a> finances a significant share of its war effort. \u201cWe have to increase the pressure to break this economic model,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Italy highlighted its own set of assistance measures. Defense Minister Guido Crosetto said Italy will deliver \u20ac800 million in civilian support, including generators needed to navigate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.eu\/article\/kyiv-targets-russias-energy-supply-after-massive-attack-on-ukraine-power-grid\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">winter energy shortages<\/a>, as well as additional military assistance through its fourth and 12th aid packages. \u201cOur commitment to Kyiv will continue \u2014 always,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Representing Poland, Deputy Defense Minister Pawe\u0142 Zalewski linked Europe\u2019s security directly to Ukrainian resilience.
