London has a formidable array of markets, for whatever your want or need \u2013\u00a0whether that\u2019s nabbing a houseplant at\u00a0Columbia Road<\/a> flower market, grabbing a cheeky pastry\u00a0from\u00a0Borough<\/a>\u00a0or trying on leather jackets in\u00a0Camden<\/a>. While Londoners are spoiled for choice when it comes to markets, it\u2019s always a treat to see communities putting together new ones (and even\u00a0better\u00a0with Christmas nearly upon us). In that regard, we have some good news: a new\u00a0Saturday market has launched in Bethnal Green, east London, with six stalls selling an array of artsy goods.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The market is hosted in front of legendary cafe E Pellicci<\/a>\u00a0on\u00a0Bethnal Green Road, and it\u2019s the result of a project by E Pellicci, the East End Trades Guild, Oxford House and Newmans Stationary. It was\u00a0crowdfunded by the\u00a0century-old cafe and locals, who raised over \u00a39,000 to kickstart the market.<\/p>\n

The Bethnal Green market is running for eight weeks, having started at the beginning of November. It\u2019ll be open\u00a0every Saturday from 9am to 4pm, until December 20.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The market offers hand-crafted pieces from east London artists, featuring everything from\u00a0one-of-a-kind crafts\u00a0and pieces of vintage clothing to ceramics and even\u00a0art made\u00a0on the spot.\u00a0<\/p>\n
