The Kasaras brothers said coming to Liverpool has always been a ‘dream’ of theirs<\/p>\n

A new family-run business is expanding into the heart of Liverpool. Thomas and Marios Kasaras, originally from Greece, are bringing their coffee company to Slater Street in the new year.<\/p>\n

Founder Thomas, now living in Manchester, said Coffee Rules isn\u2019t like \u201canything else\u201d the UK currently has. The brand can already be found elsewhere in the North West, including in Salford, Ancoats, Athens, and Swinton, however, this will be the first venture to Liverpool.<\/a><\/p>\n

The 23-year-old told the ECHO<\/a>: \u201cFrom a young age, I have been a Liverpool fan. The team is important to me and so is the city. I really like it here. I said to my brother, even from the first time we came to the UK, that if I could live in another city, it would easily be Liverpool.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love the vibes, I like the history and the culture of the place. So to have it in history, written down, that Coffee Rules in Liverpool is amazing. I love the idea of that. I want to expand into other cities, but none are like Liverpool, it feels awesome.\u201c<\/p>\n

\"CoffeeCoffee Rules will be opening on Slater Street, beside Phat Buns<\/p>\n

On the menu, you will find everything from ham and b\u00e9chamel pie to bougatsa and koulouri. To wash these down with, you can choose from the likes of an espresso, an Americano or a Freddo cappuccino. Rounding up the offerings are a range of authentic desserts including kantaif, ravani and galaktoboureko.<\/p>\n

Thomas said: \u201cWe do our own coffee blend, working with the biggest coffee supplier in Greece. We have invested in a coffee shop in Greece<\/a> as well because we want to improve our country.<\/p>\n

“We are taking all of our products from our home country. We travel all the way just to make sure we are giving back to our country.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat you would have in Greece for breakfast is what we are offering here in the UK. It\u2019s very traditional food and a very traditional way of Greece\u2019s hospitality, with a lot of attention to detail and respecting the customer base. There\u2019s something missing in here in the UK, and we want to fix it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite not having even opened the first venue, Thomas said the family-affair company are already searching for another site with \u00a350,000 being invested into each.<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cMy brother and I are looking to the future, but using the past experience of our parents. My mum would deal with customer behaviour, I do social media, my brother does the coffee.<\/p>\n

“Altogether, every single one of us, is all filling in the other part that\u2019s missing from the other person. And together, we have created what is a proper Greek shop.<\/p>\n
