Each year, participants tackle a multi-day coastal route ending at the ISE show in Barcelona. Accommodation, meals, and a dedicated support vehicle are all included in the entry fee.

In 2025, the ride generated £45,000 in donations, divided between Backup Tech and Casa Caridad Valencia, a local organisation helping residents rebuild their lives after devastating floods. The 2026 ride aims to build on that success and continue funding essential wellbeing initiatives for those working behind the scenes.

Organised by PLASA and #WeMakeEvents, BikeFest Spain has become much more than a cycling event, it’s a show of unity from across the international live events sector. Each year sees new faces join returning riders from rental companies, manufacturers, venues, and production teams, all sharing the same road and the same purpose.

Participants can expect scenic routes through Mediterranean towns such as Peñíscola and Salou, before finishing in Barcelona with a celebratory medal presentation at ISE 2026.

BikeFest welcomes cyclists of all levels, with specialist bikes available for hire. Those unable to take part can still show support through event sponsorship or donations, both of which play a vital role in maximising funds raised for Backup Tech.

Nicky Greet, association director at PLASA, says: “BikeFest has become a truly special event. It brings people together from across our industry to do something positive and purposeful. The money raised each year makes a real difference through Backup Tech, and we’re determined to build on that success in 2026. Whether you ride, sponsor or donate, every contribution helps.”

Juan Jose Vila, CMO & COO of Equipson and European Representative for PLASA adds: “The energy and teamwork behind BikeFest are incredible. It’s always inspiring to see so many familiar faces return, and new riders join the cause each year. Together, we’re showing what our industry can achieve when it unites for good.”

Info:
www.joinbikefest.com
www.plasa.org
www.equipson.es

BikeFest Spain returns for its fifth edition from 30 January to 1 February 2026, once again uniting the…

[5312
2000,299,104
0":"post-570816","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-spain","8":"tag-eu","9":"tag-europe","10":"tag-spain
["GET
