Leeds are keeping a close eye on the Netherlands ahead of the winter transfer window.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We understand Ismael Saibari is a target for Leeds<\/a> \u2013 the Morocco international with ten goals in 17 appearances so far this season for PSV Eindhoven.<\/p>\n

Troy Parrott is also being scouted<\/a> ahead of the January window \u2013 having netted 13 goals in just 14 games for AZ Alkmaar this term.<\/p>\n

A deal could be done for a fee in the region of \u00a325m \u2013 but Newcastle could cause complications as Eddie Howe eyes Kees Smit.<\/p>\n

Newcastle could make it harder for Leeds United to sign Troy Parrott<\/p>\n

It was Keith Downie of Sky Sports who claimed that Newcastle are huge fans of the Dutchman, who is viewed internally as a player with enormous potential.<\/p>\n

Should the Magpies manage to strike an agreement with AZ Alkmaar before Leeds firm up interest in Parrott, it would lessen the Dutch side\u2019s need for cash and consequentially lessen their desire to sell any other star players.<\/p>\n

Smit and Parrott are arguably the two best performers at AZ Alkmaar, so from the outside looking in, it very much feels like only one will be sold in January \u2013 not both.<\/p>\n

Leeds are big fans of Parrott<\/a> and considered signing the Irishman during the summer, only to hesitate over his \u00a325m valuation.<\/p>\n

Therefore, Leeds need to be decisive when it comes to the Tottenham academy graduate this winter as Newcastle lurk for Smit \u2013 any further hesitance could well take the Republic of Ireland international out of reach for the 49ers.<\/p>\n

Leeds United have alternatives if Newcastle do cause Troy Parrott complications<\/p>\n

Fortunately, Leeds are not putting all of their eggs into the Parrott basket.<\/p>\n

An international teammate of Brenden Aaronson is also under consideration as Leeds keep tabs on Josh Sargent<\/a> at Norwich.<\/p>\n

Clearly, the 49ers have several options to consider as we approach the winter transfer window. <\/p>\n
