Train passengers are being advised not to travel as Storm Claudia causes havoc to services.<\/p>\n
Tonight Northern trains warned people not to travel on all the services it operates in the North West, for the rest of the day.<\/p>\n
It said rail replacement buses would not be available, and that there would be a reduced service on a number of lines including from Manchester to Wigan<\/a> and Liverpool.<\/p>\n Northern said: “Heavy rain and winds are expected on Friday 14 November and Saturday 15 November. A number of yellow weather<\/a> warnings for wind are in place.<\/p>\n Join the Manchester Evening News <\/strong>WhatsApp<\/strong> group <\/strong>HERE<\/a><\/p>\n “Flooding is expected in places, and strong winds may bring down trees onto the railway.<\/p>\n “Our advice to customers is DO NOT TRAVEL on a number of routes until the end of the day on Friday 14 November:<\/p>\n “Calder Valley route (Leeds – Bradford Interchange – Halifax – Manchester Victoria and Leeds – Brighouse – Manchester Victoria)<\/p>\n “All routes in the North West of England<\/p>\n “Rail replacement buses will NOT be provided on these routes.
