A two-year-old boy has died after he was reportedly ‘strangled by his jumper’ at a nursery in Italy.<\/p>\n
The incident occurred at Ambarab\u00e0 Cicc\u00ec Cocc\u00f2 nursery in Bibienna at around 11.30am.<\/p>\n
The young boy was found dead by nursery staff.<\/p>\n
According to reports, part of his jumper got tangled in a tree while he was running around.<\/p>\n
Air ambulance failed to make it to the scene as medics tried to deliver CPR. He was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
Prosecutors have launched a manslaughter investigation and the nursery will remain closed until at least next week.<\/p>\n
Footage showed horrified locals crying outside the nursery upon hearing the news.<\/p>\n
The Koin\u00e9 cooperative, which manages the nursery, said: \u201cWe have no words that can soothe the excruciating pain of the parents and family of the child who lost his life this morning.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe tragedy is also our grief, because we feel the children who greet us with a smile every morning as our own.<\/p>\n
