Nico Raskin has no intention of leaving Rangers<\/a> in January and is committed to helping new manager Danny Rohl give fans something to shout about in the second half of the season.<\/p>\n That’s according to the player’s father Thierry, who believes seeking a move elsewhere in the window would be unwise with a World Cup<\/a> just around the corner.<\/p>\n Raskin<\/a> had been frozen out by previous Gers boss Russell Martin earlier in the season after the former Scotland international felt that his head had been turned by interest in the summer.<\/p>\n But the 24-year-old is now firmly back in the picture at Ibrox and took his goal tally to two for the campaign with the opener in the 3–0 away win against Dundee before the international break<\/a>.<\/p>\n His displays in the calendar year have seen the Ibrox star recognised at international level, with Raskin winning seven caps so far for Belgium, getting on the scoresheet in a 6-0 hammering of Kazakhstan back in September.<\/p>\n The Red Devils are hoping to secure a first place finish in Group J to ensure automatic qualification for next summer’s World Cup finals in North America, with Raskin earning cap number seven from the start in Saturday’s return fixture with the Kazakhs.<\/p>\n Raskin has been tentatively linked with several clubs down south including Leeds United and Tottenham.<\/p>\n Record Sport<\/strong> broke the news late in the summer window that he was subjected to interest from sides in the Turkish Super League.<\/p>\n And Raskin Snr admits his son’s focus is solely on impressing for Rangers so that he is on the plane to the US, Canada and Mexico at the end of the club season should Belgium get there.<\/p>\n He told DH Sports<\/a>: “In the midst of a season that will culminate in a World Cup, careful consideration will be necessary.<\/p>\n “And the initial idea is not a priority to leave, with a new manager (Danny R\u00f6hl), who wants to rebuild something beautiful.”<\/p>\n Follow Record Sport<\/strong> on Twitter<\/a>, Facebook<\/a> and Instagram<\/a> for all of the up-to-the minute breaking news, video and audio on the SPFL, the Scotland national team and beyond.<\/p>\n You can get all the news you need on our dedicated Rangers<\/a> page and sign up to our newsletters<\/a> to make sure you never miss a beat throughout the season.<\/p>\n We’re also on WhatsApp where we bring all the latest breaking news and transfer gossip directly to you phone.
