Flight EZY3242 departed from Paris Charles de Gaulle airport shortly after 5pm on Friday evening and arrived in the Scottish capital before 6.30pm.<\/p>\n<p>According to flight tracking website FlightRadar24, the pilot transmitted a 7700 code whilst descending, signalling a general emergency aboard the aircraft. Paramedics were on standby for the easyJet aircraft upon its landing.<\/p>\n<p>FlightRadar24 reported: &#8220;#U23242 from Paris to Edinburgh squawking 7700 on descent into Edinburgh.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>An easyJet spokesperson told Edinburgh Live: &#8220;easyJet can confirm that flight EZY3242 from Paris Charles de Gaulle to Edinburgh on November 14 was met by paramedics due to a passenger requiring urgent medical assistance.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The wellbeing of our passengers and crew is always easyJet&#8217;s highest priority, and our crew are trained to evaluate and respond to medical situations onboard.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"An easyJet pilot declared a mid-air emergency on a service travelling from Paris to Edinburgh.
